Insurance
We understand that financial and insurance issues can be stressful and confusing for patients with medical illnesses. As a courtesy to our patients, Desert Endovascular Center will submit claims to your insurance carrier for you; however, we cannot predict or guarantee what part of our services will or will not be covered by your particular plan. If your insurance does change, please notify us before your next visit so we can make the appropriate changes to help you receive your maximum benefits and minimize your out of pocket responsibility.

Please bring a current list of medication, and a copy of your Insurance card
- Because you’ll be given medications that can make you drowsy, the hospital requires that a family member or friend drive you. For safety reasons, Uber, Lyft, or other ride services are not allowed.
No, they don’t have to stay at the hospital the whole time. However, they are welcome to wait onsite if they prefer.
Most procedures take about 1.5 to 2 hours. This may vary depending on the type of procedure you’re having.
Unless your doctor has told you to stop certain medications, you can usually take them. A nurse from the hospital will call you the day before your procedure to let you know exactly what you should or shouldn’t take.
No special clothing is needed. You’ll change into a hospital gown once you arrive.
No, you don’t need to do anything in advance. If needed, blood work, a chest X-ray, or an EKG will be done on the day of your procedure.
We ask you to arrive 1.5 hours before your scheduled procedure so we have enough time to check you in, complete any testing, and get you ready.
Please don’t eat or drink anything after midnight the night before your procedure, unless you’re told otherwise by your care team.
Not during the procedure itself, because the room must stay sterile. Your support person can stay with you until you’re taken in, and they’ll be brought back to you once you’re in recovery.
